DuPont™ Nomex-Teijin Films Mylar®
Overview:
DuPont™ Nomex-Teijin Films Mylar®
DuPont™ Nomex®-Teijin Films Mylar® laminates are layers of calendared Nomex aramid paper bonded with Mylar polyester film. These laminates are suited to a range of temperatures in high-integrity electrical insulation for motors, generators, and transformers.
Nomex-Mylar (NM) is a two-ply laminate of Nomex and Mylar polyester film. These laminates are slick and thin. NMN and NMNE are three-layer laminates with polyester film and Nomex aramid paper. They are used in the manufacture and remanufacture of medium and large Class F and Class H motors.
Features:
- Resistance to delamination or blistering at high temperatures
- Excellent dielectric strength
- Moisture resistance
- Physical strength, flexibility, and slickness
Typical Applications:
- Electrical insulation for motors, generators, and transformers.
