As electric motors become smaller, high-performance, and last longer, better electrical insulation and heat management become more critical. Fabrico uses well-known DuPont materials such as Kevlar®, Nomex®, DuPont’s Teijin Films™ Mylar®, and Kapton®.
New and exciting applications include electric insulation for high performance motors and batteries in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and Electronic Vehicles (EVs). In these applications, DuPont is working with OEMs and converters like Fabrico to identify new material properties and develop solutions for high performance/high temperature use.
