Water Jet Cutting - Technology

The Fabrico water jet cutting system uses an ultra high-powered jet stream to cut through a multitude of materials. The jet stream is pressurized at 60,000 psi, and processed through an opening ranging from 0.010” – 0.016”. Materials can be as thick as 6”, with sizes up to 48” x 96”. Furthermore, the narrow kerf and tight nesting prevents any excess waste of material.

The PC-based program, AquaVision, uses SigmaNest software to interface with the cutter and enable precise production of designs, including those with very small apertures. Benefits of this digital interface include reduced set-up time and cost, as well as the ability to adjust for process variables, such as operating pressure, material feed, abrasive particle size, and flow rate. Fabrico’s water jet cutter also meets ISO-9001:2008 standards, ensuring high quality of output.

Fabrico’s water jet cutting capabilities are ideal for difficult converting processes, such as soft rubber and foam fabrication.
