Battery Technology

There are two main battery cell technologies used today for everything from micro medical devices to autos: nickel-cadmium (nickel-metalhydride) and lithium-ion (Li-ion).

Both technologies require temperature management, electrical insulation, resistance to shock and vibration, long life with a low self-discharge, low maintenance, and the ability to be recycled.

A converter like Fabrico can be a valued partner for the battery manufacturer in terms of recommending materials that meet requirements for thermal conductivity and electrical insulation as well as the other requirements.
