Advanced Materials for Solar Inverters
Kennesaw, GA USA - October 14, 2011
– Fabrico, the leader in design and manufacturing services for flexible materials and bonding, joining, and sealing solutions, announces expanded electrical insulation, heat dissipation, and EMC/EMI materials for solar inverter manufacturers.
As renewable energy sources are more closely integrated into the electrical grid, solar inverters play a critical role in ensuring that the energy generated by solar panels is efficiently and reliably converted into electrical current that is useable. To ensure efficiency and reliability, Fabrico provides solar inverter manufactures with suitable materials for electrical insulation, heat dissipation, and EMC/EMI shielding.
Fabrico works with a broad range of electrical insulation materials that are die-cut into custom shapes to meet inverter requirements. Insulation products can be discrete or multi-layer custom parts designed and manufactured to meet material specifications such as dielectric strength, temperature resistance, and resistance to tearing and puncturing during assembly. Materials include electrical grade papers, films, coated cloths, laminates, and tapes for core, barrier, layer, and magnetic wire insulation; lead pads; and phase separators.
Fabrico converts a variety of thermally conductive materials for the dispersion of heat in temperature-sensitive inverter applications. Thermal management materials help transfer heat away from components into heat sinks, or the ambient environment, or spread excessive heat in one area across the surface of the entire assembly where it can be further dissipated. Materials include foil tapes, metal-filled elastomers, and wire mesh.
EMC/EMI shielding might require materials that include electrical tape with aluminum and copper backings for grounding, bonding, and EMI shielding. Conductive and nonconductive adhesive systems are also available. Fabrico provides EMC/EMI materials that can be die-cut into custom shapes or laminated to other materials to meet application requirements.
